On August 21–22, Peijia Medical subsidiary SmartWave Medical won third prize at the 11th “Maker in China” Jiangsu SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition with its “Pan-Vascular Lithotripsy Therapy System,” ranking among Jiangsu Province’s Top 100 projects. The award followed its first-prize win at the Changzhou regional competition in July. SmartWave has pioneered the application of lithotripsy technology to aortic and mitral valve calcification, exploring an “implant-free” treatment approach. Multicenter clinical trials are underway in China and the U.S., with six-month FIM results for the MAC indication showing encouraging early safety and performance. Its “Lithotripsy Valvular Therapy System” also entered the NMPA’s Special Review Procedure for Innovative Medical Devices in January 2026, further strengthening Peijia Medical’s innovation pipeline in structural heart disease.
